Julie Morgan - Dip. Therapeutic Counselling & Psychotherapy
MBACP - Person Centred, CBT Integrated Counsellor.
About Me
Hya I’m Julie, I qualified as a professional Person-centred Psychotherapist in 2018 and have since gained additional qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Adult Trauma, Rewind and Clinical Hypnotherapy. This enables me to offer a range of different therapeutic approaches to suit the individual needs of each of my clients.
I made the decision to become a counsellor whilst employed at a number of charities where I supported those who had suffered life-changing injury or sudden traumatic loss of a loved one (often a child).
I worked at a Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre for over 6 years, supporting male, female and transgender clients, and I have worked with emergency services staff suffering stress or vicarious trauma.
I also have over 10 years’ experience supporting clients navigating lengthy police investigations and court proceedings alongside their grief and loss.

How Counselling Can Support You
When life has been challenging, we often develop coping mechanisms to protect us from further pain or harm, but when these are no longer working or they have become unhelpful and limiting, they can prevent growth and progress. This may cause you to feel stuck.
Counselling offers you the chance for you to ‘confront and explore’ your life experiences in a safe non-judgemental space, helping you to gain an understanding of what you have experienced and how this has affected your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Working together we could identify and challenge these, and look at new coping skills and thought processes to enable you to start to make new decisions and changes in your life.
I am passionate about supporting anyone struggling in life and helping those who may never have spoken about their experiences before.
Talking and sharing your experiences with someone outside of your friends and family bubble can help you learn more about you and your journey through life.
I also offer clinical hypnotherapy which can help to address any deep routed fears or phobias.
